 TIMELINE :

-
It’s an election year.
-
Independent investigative journalist ANDREAS BAINES (30’s) is commissioned by the editor of a “Guardian” like newspaper to team up with ex-war veteran JOHN SHAMUS to conduct an interview of subversive writer JEFFREY CURTIS, and find out about his sources.
-
The release of his next book threatens to reveal inconvenient secrets naming political elites, not unlike the wikileaks ordeal.
-
Posing as a regular columnist at an internet based paper, Andrea is sent to Curtis’ loft, where they immediately begin to try to outwit each other’s minds.
-
As the interview progresses things quickly spin out of control. It’s soon pretty clear Curtis is conducting the whole interview as Shamus watches from the building across the street, with his gun aimed at Curtis.
-
As a morbid ballet of innuendos starts to unfold, the interview reaches a point of no return.
-
Andrea’s impression of the writer is blurred, as the real reason why she's there begins to dawn on her. The unexpected ending ends up with the focus on GLORIA BAINES (60’s), Andrea’s mother, a soon to be elected US governor, and her shady past.
