RATANAKIRI - North  of Cambodia

In November 2012, my humanitarian involvement for the "Cambodia Care Center'' led me to take pictures in northern Cambodia, at the Ratanakiri province, bordering Laos.

This remote region saw the exploitation of rubber, cassava, cashew nuts as well as some gem mines (zircon).

In search of authenticity, I went to meet some minorities, the Khmer Leu (Khmer from above), mostly animists, among whom I have had the chance to meet Kreung and Laossian Khmers. Some were only accessible after long hours of four wheel terrain vehicles or by canoe.

I hope you find this authenticity through my photos. Enjoy.
